Youth Classes:
Imagination Station 3-5 years
Take off in a spaceship, explore the depths of the ocean, catch a ride on a butterfly's wings...There's no limit to where our imaginations may take us!  Children tap into their natural creativity through drama, art and movement activities. -Most of our Imagination Station students also join us for Tuesday Story Time from 2-3pm.

Story Drama 5-8 years
What happens beyond the end of a book?  Children's favorite stories come alive through drama.  We will explore a new story each week and develop collaboration and communication skills-- and have fun stretching our imaginations!

Walk-in Storytime & Creative Play
12 months-6 years
Join us every Tuesday from 2:00-3:00 pm for a mid-day story, craft and open play time.  This is a great chance to get to know other families and have fun dressing up and pretending with items from our costume and prop collection!
$2 per family **Free for families currently enrolled with Class Act

KidProv 8-10 years
A fun introduction to improvisational theatre, stage presence, focus and teamwork.  Students collaborate to create dynamic characters, scenes and, most of all, have fun expressing themselves!  (Beginning through advanced sections offered).
Saturday, 10:30am-12:00pm (Summer session is July 17-Sept 11 No class, September 4th)

Advanced KidProv 11-13 years
This is the perfect class for students who have had previous drama experience and are looking to develop their individual and ensemble skills. We will work on improvisation, character creation and sketch comedy.
Saturday 12:15-1:45pm (July 17th-Sept 11 No class 9/4)  or Wednesday 5:00-6:30pm (August 18th-October 6th)

TeenProv 14-18 years
An introduction to improvisational theatre for high school students.  This class helps students develop confidence in public speaking, spontaneity, teamwork and ensemble skills.  Get ready for lots of laughs and stage time!  (Beginning to advanced sections offered).  Completion of the beginning level of this class is a prerequisite to audition for our high school improv ensemble.

Improv Workout!
This is a drop-in, beginning level improvisation class. Please call prior to class start time to reserve your space. $10 per class. 217-766-5964
Thursday, 6:00-7:30pm

Improv 1
Learn the basics of improvisational theatre.  No prior experience necessary!  Students are introduced to the basics of improve in a safe, friendly, atmosphere.  Emphasis will be placed on teambuilding, understanding and utilizing basic scene work skills and, most importantly, having fun.  All students begin at this level.  This class is a prerequisite to the other levels.

Improv for Actors

This class is for students who have a background in theatre or are working towards a theatre degree.  Through the process of improvisation, students will further develop character and scene building skills, as well as hone comedic timing and quick thinking for a leg up in auditions.  Learn how actors can take risks and gain spontaneity in all genres of scripted and non-scripted theatre.
