Donna Warwick

Donna Warwick is a co-founder of the Champaign Urbana Ballet and has continued to serve on the Board of Directors since the company began in 1998. She has over 20 years of dance training and is also an experienced elementary and preschool teacher. Currently, she is on the faculty of Champaign Ballet Academy, owned by Deanna Doty, founder, artistic director and choreographer for the Champaign Urbana Ballet. As the instructor of the young children’s division, Donna teaches Introduction to Ballet and her own creative movement classes. She created and developed the Artsfusion and Music and Motion programs and now offers a Fairytale Ballet class which allows children to dress in costume and dance each week to a new chapter of Donna’s own original fairytale.

C-U Ballet’s Tickets for Kids Program, which provides area school children free tickets to The Nutcracker and other children’s ballets, is another program founded by Donna Warwick. She is available, as the company’s Outreach Coordinator, to educate and enlighten children on the art of ballet through lively, interactive outreach programs.

A strong advocate for early childhood music education, Donna previously taught the Kindermusik and Tot Note programs through the Conservatory of Central Illinois where she also served on the Board of Directors. She has been teaching and developing her music and dance programs in Champaign since 1994.and her classes are offered weekly at such schools as the Montessori School of Savoy and University Primary School.
